Synagogues
Wooden synagogues in Poland were destroyed almost all during
the war, many other (stoned synagogues) were destroyed by
Nazis during the World War II or Germans used them as store
houses, etc...
After the war many synagogues were changed to cinemas, schools,
libraries, museums, hospitals, etc. Sometimes they were devastated
and destroyed, in some cases they were renovated.
And sometimes you may find in small towns forgotten buildings,
ruins now, with trees inside and on the roof... stones don't
speak, but sometimes they can tell you much...
